Out of all the popular casino card games, poker is known for being one of the oldest ones. In the last 1,00 years ago, poker has been by an array of people for varying components and cultures. While many formed different variations, they all followed the same basic guidelines of the game. However, it would not be until 17th century France, where one variation of poker would be created. In this variation, players would’ve been dealt three cards and would play the game of bluffing, also known as lying about your true card value, to win the game. Though, the casino version of poker is a bit different. The casino version of poker usually incorporates a 52-card deck, and the players are usually dealt five cards per round. This variation because widely popular in America and spread like wildfire to the legalised and underground casinos that were operating at the time.
Nowadays, online casinos have begun adding a live casino feature to the services, which usually includes slots, table games, and other popular casino games. Xpro Gaming is a relatively new casino software provider that has added poker to their live casino. Their poker games can be played 24/7, and each table features an attractive, skilled, and lively live dealer.
Types of games
Currently, Xpro Gaming only offers a few poker variations: Casino Hold’em, Texas Hold’em, Caribbean Stud Poker, and Multiplayer Poker. However, these poker variants are available and optimised for an array of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) powered by Apple, Android, and Windows. Moreover, each one of these poker variants gives players the ability to customise their games for their personal preference. For example, players can turn the dealers chat on/off, view and hide on-screen information, and change the camera angle to either sow the live dealer as well as the poker table, or just a close-up view of the poker table. However, these poker variants do not feature multiple table choices that allow for different betting wages, which means high roller players will not be able to bet as much as they desire sometimes. Each table does comes with an additional bonus that players can use to enhance the game and potentially come out with a larger payout. Moreover, players can also choose to tip the live dealer is they are pleased with the services.
Playing these variations are simplistic enough that players from all poker backgrounds will understand. For example, playing Casino Hold’em will require the player to place a bet that is either $20 to $400. The dealer will then deal the player cards before continuing with the process of turning, flopping, and the River card. Then the winning hand is announced. Players should keep in mind that the payout ratio is 3:1, but it can go as high as 30:1, depending if the player uses side bets and bonuses throughout their game.
The under interface is simple and easy to understand. The left-hand side of the screen features general information such as the dealer's name, which poker variation the player is playing, and information of the sort. While the right-hand side shows the player the Ante amount along with the bonus amount, the bottom of the screen features information such as the side bets and the designated area for the flop, turn, and river.
Favourite Live Dealer Game
Out of all the offered live poker variations, my favourite is going to have to be Casino Hold’em. I enjoyed the simple rules of the game and the quickness of each round. Plus, the user interface provided all the information needed to have a successful and fun playing experience. I also enjoyed how the player can see the bonus payouts every second that they are playing the game – it served as a great initiative for players to keep playing until they qualified to receive of the several bonuses offered for the game.
Xpro Gaming was only opened in 2005 but have since started making a name for themselves as a casino software provider. They offer an array of services, such as slots, table games, and their live casino. However, an interesting feature of this company is that they offer the casino games that are not commonly found with other big-name casino software providers.
Overall, I am going to have to give Xpro Gaming and their live poker a 7/10. Their games were well-designed, simple, and offered enough bonuses to keep players interested. However, the video quality, along with the audio, of the live games were not up to par. Moreover, for a while the company was not licensed, thus making it unsafe to use during this period of time for which I am going to have to strike off some points.
